Strawberries
Although classified as more of a fruit than a vegetable, we commonly find strawberry patches in vegetable gardens. Strawberries when well looked after can produce very high yields and make the perfect dessert.
Germination
If you buy a few strawberry plants one year, by about September of that year you will be able to divide each plant into about 5 - 10 new plants by separating the stem clump by clump. Although you may feel that you will kill the plant, you will be suprised at how quickly the 'bulbs' regrow into new plants.
