Sweetcorn
There is nothing quite like a cob of corn to kick off dinner. When picked straight off the plant before all the sugar has turned to starch, sweetcorn can taste quite amazing and is very different home grown than purchased from the shops.
Make sure you plant in rows about 20cm appart to allow pollination and if you plan on growing sweetcorn every year, it pays to leave a couple of cobs to grow until the plant dries up. Now you will have plenty of seed for the following year.
